Efforts

Below is a list of things I am currently working on or involved in.

2021 - Present
Minnesota Youth Symphonies (MYS)
A school-year orchestra that meets on Saturday mornings at Macalester College to rehearse professional-level orchestral music for three seasonal concerts. I am currently a member of the Repertory Orchestra under the direction of Lucas Shogren

I also hold the position of Student Representative for the Repertory Orchestra to the MYS student leadership committee

2025 - Present
Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies (gtcys)
Another school-year orchestra that meets weekly on Tuesday nights at Westminster Presbyterian Church, to rehearse symphonies and other orchestral music, for many seasonal and charity concerts. I am currently a member of the Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Mark Russell Smith.

2025
Washburn Track & Field
Washburn Highschool’s track and field team. Last season I ran for the Varsity Hurdles team, competing in the 110 meter hurdles and the 300 meter hurdles races.

2024 - Present
Model United Nations
A national club, where we explore international diplomacy, and prepare for conferences, in which you represent a country and a policy goal. I participated in the fall conference of 2024 and 2025 in which I represented India and Ethiopia respectively

Piano
I have been studying piano by myself since 2023. In addition I meet infrequently with my piano professor, Dr. Roberta Kaigin, since 2024

2014 - Present
Violin
One of the core elements to my life. I have taken violin lessons from Ian Synder since the fall of 2014. Twice a year there are recitals that students play their pieces during.

Washburn Site Council
The site council at Washburn is an advisory board made up of representatives from all corners of the communities; including teachers, students, parents, and administrators. We cover issues including family outreach, budgetary decisions, student engagement and support, and other needs the community has. We meet monthly on Thursday.

2023 - Present
Kowalski’s Markets
I am lucky to be part of the front end team at Kowalski’s Markets on Lyndale. I hold various responsibilities chiefly bagging and helping people with their groceries. I also work behind the scenes assisting with miscellaneous maintenance and upkeep.

Organ
Also at Westminster Presbyterian Church, I have recently began taking Pipe Organ lessons from Joe Trucano, the Church musician and Organist.

Student Council
I have been a member of the student council since the beginning of my 10th grade year. I currently have no specific role inside of Student Council, I simply help with whatever is needed. Currently my focus is student engagement.

2025 - Present
AI Council
A small group of Washburn seniors and myself working to inform and educate, along with establishing regulations, regarding AI and its uses and impact. We meet bi-weekly on Thursday mornings with Dr. Palmer.

I also currently serve as a liaison for The AI Council to The Washburn Site Council
